The correction appeared in the Federal Register on June 29, 2026.
The correction, identified as FR Doc. C1-2026-09289, addresses seven instances in the original rule document where the abbreviation "PM" — referring to a 2016 policy memorandum — was incorrectly printed as "p.m." The errors appeared on pages 25481 and 25482 of the May 11 issue.
According to the correction notice, the second sentence of the last paragraph on page 25481 originally read "The 2016 p.m. stated" and should read "The 2016 PM stated." Similar corrections were made to five additional references to "the 2016 p.m." on page 25482, as well as one reference to "the 2018 p.m." that should have read "the 2018 PM."
The underlying rule, published under Docket No. USCIS-2026-0166 and RIN 1615-AD17, amended 8 CFR Part 103 and governs the requirements for signatures on immigration benefit requests submitted to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
The correction notice was filed on June 29, 2026, at 8:45 a.m.
